Now that it is finally spring, I am so eager to stash away my heavy coats and snow boots and make way for exposed legs and stylish skirts! It was the absolute most gorgeous day when I shot this look, and as you can see by my ghost white legs, they have been crying for some sunlight If luck will have it, I am hoping my parkas can remain tucked away for the season, and will not need to make a reappearance until November!
From the softest faux suede fabric, to the button details down the front, to the gorgeous blush colour, this skirt is the perfect transitional piece to have in your spring wardrobe. I paired it with a casual, oversized, camel heavy knit sweater that I picked up towards the end of January. Pairing your skirts with a cozy knit, a fluffy coat, a moto jacket, a trench coat or even a wool coat at the beginning of spring makes having your legs exposed that much more bearable. If you are warmer on top, the cold won’t bother your legs so much. This way, you can still wear the trends and feel like it’s spring without completely freezing to death!
The muted blush pairs exceptionally well with other neutral colours. If you have a tendency to wear more white, creams, greys and blacks, then the blush is the perfect pop of spring to add to your look. I also love the colour combination of the blush and camel tones, they compliment each other beautifully which makes it a nice transitional outfit that you can wear again from summer into autumn. The button down details are eye catching, yet the skirt is still so versatile. You could pair it with a pretty white blouse and nude heels for a more feminine and girly look, or more casually with a oversized sweater and over the knee boots.
If I haven’t completely convinced you on how to balance having your legs exposed as you are feeling it is still far too cold outside, then pair your skirt with over the knee boots instead of a heel. This will give your legs an added touch of warmth, but won’t take away from your adorable skirt or the spring outfit you are trying to achieve.
These heels are by far the dreamiest pair of shoes in my collection. From the shiny gold rock stud hardware, to the nude patent toe, and a comfort level that I would not have imagined. I was willing to sacrifice comfort to have these gorgeous shoes in my life, but I was so pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they are to wear and how stable I feel walking in them. They are shockingly not Valentino’s, but rather an amazing dupe at a much more affordable price. Real Valentino’s will run you well over $900 and these beauties are under $70 USD. They also come in a black patent toe, again with the gold hardware and nude real leather straps, which I think would be equally gorgeous for the autumn and winter months. I am so tempted to grab hold of the black pair as well, as they really are a classic and timeless piece. The nude is gorgeous for spring and summer, and can easily be styled year round.
