You guys, I can’t wait to dive in about this green utility vest, but can we take a moment to talk about how this summer has been CRAZY!? How are we already half way through September? Seriously, HOW!? I feel like I haven’t been able to catch my breath, which I am sure you have noticed by my absence from The Flightalista.
Where have I been?
I wish I could say that I unplugged and took the month of August off to relax and unwind, but that is so not the case! Summer is the busiest time of year for me as a Flight Attendant. In May, I started to commute from Vancouver B.C. to Calgary, Alberta which makes my work days that much longer, plus we are required to work extra hours during the summer months. I also had aircraft training on top of that and have exams and more training (which we take annually) next week which I have been trying to study and prepare for. This past month I have found myself coming home from work and literally passing out on the sofa in the middle of the day. A and I worked opposite days for most of July and August, so when we did have a moment together I either didn’t want to bug him to shoot some looks, or I simply was just too tired!
Since I am so passionate about The Flightalista, I am looking forward to blogging much more this fall. Despite my absence I was able to secure two new collaborations which I am really looking forward to sharing with you all soon!
Good question! I have added a ‘Fall Wishlist’ menu where you can shop what I am coveting for fall and hoping to get my hands on, if I haven’t already! I will be updating my wish list regularly and making it season specific as the seasons change, so be sure to check back regularly for some inspiration on the latest trends!
What can you look forward to?
- Travel tips and posts! I have been a Flight Attendant for six and a half years and this is an industry that is constantly growing and expanding. I plan on sharing my experiences, wisdom and I will make sure to help prepare you for your upcoming vacation and help to ensure things run as smoothly as possible on your next flight! Flying can be stressful and exhausting, trust me, I know! Check back regularly and be sure to scroll through my Travel Essentials for your Carry On on the side bar of my homepage. These are the bare basics for a comfortable flight.
- Trends and what I am currently swooning over! I love the seasons, from the colours, to the scents and smells, the creating of new traditions and embracing the old ones, the food (yum!), and the fashion. Fall is my absolute favourite when it comes to fashion and dressing for the season.
- This October I am transferring back to Vancouver (yay!) and moving into MY very first home, which I am so excited about. Hello home owner life! I cannot wait to create memories and traditions of my own with A this year. Once we are settled in, I will be giving you a ‘My Home Tour’ and sharing all things related to style and decor.
So about this look:
I fell in love with this green utility vest that I stumbled across at Marshalls on a layover in Chicago. If you love to layer, then this is a great transition piece from summer into fall. It was a cool end of summer day when I shot this look, but this vest could be easily paired with a tee, a long sleeve shirt or even over top of a warm sweater for brisk fall day.
These boots are last season from Zara, but you’ll find me in countless pairs of over the knee boots since I am still loving this trend for fall, winter and spring.
What’s on your fall wish list?
