Give me all the sweaters please! With the weather starting to cool in the greater Vancouver area, sweater weather is finally upon us. As sad as I am to part ways with summer, this girl is so ready to pull out her fall wardrobe and embrace all that autumn has to offer!
Ok, so first things first, I am moving in less than a week! Packing your life up into a series of boxes really starts to tug on the heart strings. Now I won’t say I hoard, but I have literally held on to almost every possession I have ever owned. I’m talking from the time I was in elementary school up until last week. I’m 29. After realizing that I cannot take everything with me (trust me I would if I could) I filled four very large bags up with clothes and donated them. Apart from the overwhelming nostalgia and multiple trips down memory lane, it felt good to purge my life. More importantly, it makes me happy to know that I am going to bring joy to someone else in need. As exciting as moving in and furnishing my very own home is, it has been a completely overwhelming and hectic experience. I cannot wait to be settled in and to call my new place home.
About the look
This look was shot at beautiful Belcarra. Belcarra is located in the Burrard Inlet across from North Vancouver in the metro Vancouver area. The body of water is free of motorized boats making it virtually untouched and so serene in appearance. A is the best at uncovering hidden gems and new places to explore. He also doubles as a pretty good photographer having captured the beauty of this picture perfect backdrop. There is no shortage of adventure when I am with him, and Belcarra definitely did not disappoint!
Now this sweater I did not donate and I’m sure you can see why! You will be hard pressed to find me without a sweater during the cool months of fall. Longline cardigans are my favourite, and this grey knit is no exception. Cozy, warm, and a great piece for layering, a cardi should be a staple in your fall wardrobe.
What’s one piece that you just can’t live without in fall?
