My Top 10 Beauty Travel Essentials

I’ll be honest, I’m basic, but there are definitely some things that I don’t leave home without when I’m packing for an over night.

  1. Neutrogena Make Up Remover Wipes– I know there is nothing wrong with good ole soap and water, but I’m a wuss and hate getting the soap in my eyes! Ouch! I think they’re the next best thing to someone deciding it was totally socially acceptable to eat cake for breakfast.
  2. Neutrogena Body Oil– I can’t figure out why I didn’t start lathering myself up in oil sooner! My skin feels seriously soft and stays hydrated which I love, especially in the winter.
  3. Aveeno Lotion– I am a big fan of Aveeno products. I have extremely sensitive skin and find that my skin reacts quite well to their formulas. My favourite product is probably their Eczema cream. I have tried several different brands, but I find their cream reduces the redness and takes away the scratchy itch which helps me get through the day.
  4. Pronamel– Yep, I am totally on the bandwagon. With my addiction to coffee and red wine, it really helps with teeth sensitivity. I realize the commercials are plastered all over our television screens, and I completely understand why. This product works. I highly recommend using this toothpaste if you have any tooth sensitivity.
  5. Clinique Smart custom-repair serum– I recently discovered this product and so far I love it. I have been using clinique products since my teens, however I never would have imagined that I would be panicking and stressing over dark circles under my eyes and creases on my forehead in my twenties. This product targets these problem areas. Historically I have steered away from applying moisturizers or any products to my face at night for fear of break outs, but lately I have been getting lots of compliments on my clear skin, so I must be doing something right!
  6. Burt’s Bees– I seriously cannot do my job without my chap stick near by. It is SO dry on the plane and in hotel rooms. I’m surprised my lips are still attached to my face. If you’re travelling, you should definitely make sure you have a chap stick packed in your purse or carry on. You’ll thank me later.
  7. Not Your Mother’s Plump For Joy Thickening Hair Lifter– Generally not found in travel size, but this is a great product for adding texture and volume to your hair after showering. I struggle with having poker straight hair that doesn’t want to hold a curl for anything, but I love that this product helps to add a bit of volume and texture, and may just hold a curl or two for a short while. It’s super reasonably priced, which makes it budget friendly.
  8. Pssssst! Instant Dry Shampoo– This stuff is amazing. I can use it for a few days and not feel guilty about not washing my hair. It keeps my hair looking and feeling fresh and is so convenient when you are travelling and constantly on the move. No one will know your hair hasn’t been washed for days unless you tell them!
  9. Seche Vite-All is not right in the world if my nails are lacking their lacquer, especially when I am jet setting. It’s one of those little things that makes me feel so much more put together. I LOVE Seche Vite. It is an instant dry top coat which is perfect if you are impatient like me and hate waiting for your nails to dry. I always get asked if my nails are gel or if I have had them professionally done. This stuff works wonders! You can find it at Winners for $7.99. Since it’s not always stocked, I’ve linked where you can buy it below.
  10. L’Oréal Voluminous Mascara- It truly is amazing what a great mascara can do. I have been using this brand since high school and I am constantly being complimented and asked if I am wearing false lashes. Of course it helps to have long, dark lashes in the first place (guilty as charged), but this is definitely my go to mascara.
